We combine ancient and modern techniques and methods to create a well rounded and inclusive program

~$3500 Early Registration paid in full by March 31

*TUITION INCLUDES: Unlimited classes with lead trainers, 20% discount on select workshops and retail.

This training is designed as a flexible "building blocks" style program where you can complete the modules over time and in any order available to you once the three pre-requisite modules are successfully completed

PREREQUISITE MODULES FOR THE TRAINING:

ANATOMY FOR YOGA

April 15-16-17/5-8 pm & April 18/1-7 pm

Learn the intersection of the physical and the energetic and the difference between tension (flexibility) and compression (’skeletability’).

PRANAYAMA & MEDITATION

April 24-25-26/1-7 pm

This module will combine the technique, practice, and physiological effects of pranayama and meditation.

 

HISTORY & STYLES OF YOGA

May 1-2/1-6 pm

Study of the eight limbs of yoga, introduction to the ancient yogic texts, Hindu mythology

Methodology

Learn tools to help define a practice focus or theme and cultivate language that stays true to your personal style to allow a more organic communication to practitioners and students

in your class

 

Intelligent Sequencing

Learn the skills to become a confident teacher.  To teach and to practice are two different skills.  You will learn the why and how of yoga sequencing so you can teach a sound and well-rounded class putting together sequences that make sense from a physical, anatomical and energetic

point of view.

 

Yin Yoga

Learn the Yin pose archetypes according to Paul Grilley's functional model. This model teaches how poses can be adapted to different practitioners for the most effective action on target myofascial groups and energy meridians

Fascia Release

Fascia is your body’s three-dimensional connective tissue matrix. Learn how to use myofascial release techniques with props like foam rollers and balls to enhance your yoga classes and discover new ease in your own asana practice.

 

Philosophy

Study of The Bhagavad Gita, The Yoga Sutras, Sanskrit and the importance of lineage in yoga.

Business of Yoga

As a yoga teacher you are a business. Learn to take your business everywhere you go, following always the principles of yoga to work in the best interest of your students. Learn to create opportunities for yourself and how to diversify your career.

Yoga on the wall

In this module you will learn to use the wall as a prop to support, enhance, align and realign the body for the yoga practice.
