~Gentle Flow

Suited for all levels, this practice combines seated or lying down postures to increase strength and flexibility along with standing postures put together as a flow sequence to link breath and movement increasing balance and mobility, to then finish with deep relaxation (savasana).

 

~Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa is the “union between breath and movement” or “one breath, one movement”. A combination of yoga sequences put together as a continuous but never rushed flow will help you increase strength, flexibility and balance, leaving your body energized but centered and your mind peaceful and present.

 

~Gentle Yoga

A well-rounded practice that includes elements of stretching, strengthening and balancing, the poses are sequenced in a way that invites awareness and peace of mind. Suitable to all levels including beginners or those trying yoga for the first time.

 

~Yin Yoga

Yin is the feminine, passive, mature energy of life. Yin is meant to penetrate deep into the connective tissue expanding flexibility while invigorating and opening the energy centers of the body (na- dis) to release blockages and increase the energy flow. Postures are long held to create a profound and rewarding experience. Suitable to all levels.

 

~Fascia Release+ Yin

This class is a combination of fascia release techniques with the use of props like foam rollers, single & double tennis balls and the long-held postures of Yin yoga, is designed to penetrate deep into connective tissue expanding flexibility while invigorating the energy systems of the body (nadis). Suitable for all levels

~Dharma yoga II&III

A traditional Dharma Yoga Shiva Namaskar vinyasa as taught by Sri Dharma Mittra.  A series of powerful poses designed to build balance, strength, and control. Will be practiced as established in the II&III series, inversions and arm balances are integral part of this practice.

 

~Yoga on the Wall

In this class we will use the wall to support, enhance, align and re-align the body for the yoga practice. The wall brings a unique opportunity to work with gravity in a way that neither the floor nor the center can offer. This class explores all forms of movements and postures suited to all levels

~Mysore

Mysore is a teacher assisted, self paced practice. This traditional way of teaching Yoga allows you to work in relationship with your teacher to learn at your own pace with personalized guidance, hands on assistance, in a community setting.

 

*New students are encouraged to arrive at 7:15am and plan 45 minutes to 1 hour for their first class.

~Ashtanga led-primary series

In this class, the teacher will call out the names of the poses in Sanskrit according to the classic vinyasa count without demonstration and with minimal cueing. This class is for experienced students, or as a compliment to a regular Mysore practice

 

*Visitors who join this class are asked to have an established Ashtanga Yoga practice

*Special fee applies for this class

 

~Meditation by donation

Meditation is one of the most powerful tools to transform ourselves, using guided meditation and breathing techniques, this class will help you find your center, leaving you with a clear and peaceful mind. This is one of the many projects that NYC has put in place to make the practice of yoga and meditation accessible to everybody.
