The Seed of The Practice
May 7, 8, 9/ 1-7 pm
This first module will combine the technique, practice, and physiological effects of pranayama and meditation. Trainees will be given a complete protocol for teaching the pranayama and meditation that is derived from the Dharma and Ashtanga practice.
Tending The Roots
May 14, 15, 16 1-7 pm
This training values all methods and in this teaching pedagogy module we will assess your individual teaching background and discuss your vision for your teaching future. This is the opportunity for you to deeply examine your own personal practice and teaching style
Supporting the Structure
May 21, 22, 23 1-7 pm
Advanced functional anatomy module. Students will study concurrently two traditions (Ashtanga and Dharma), Students will learn the anatomical reasons why different bodies access poses differently identifying the difference between tension (flexibility) and compression (’skeletability’).
Learning the Limbs
June 4, 5, 6 1-7 pm
This module will be a deeper study in areas related to the ancient yogic texts, Hindu mythology, and Sanskrit. The curriculum will include the orthodox schools of thought, and will evolve through time using the Vedas, The Upanishads, The Bhagavad Gita, The Yoga Sutras, and the Hindu Puranas
Bearing The Fruit
June 11, 12, 13 1-7 pm
In this module we will offer the foundation of the Dharma and Ashtanga traditions to apply to your own practice and teaching. These tools of alignment and intelligence will expand your capacity to develop energetically balanced class sequences. This will help students create and sustain an inner focus throughout their practice
June 18, 19, 20 1-7 pm
As a yoga teacher, you are a business. You will learn how to establish your brand through the work you do on and off the mat. In this module, we will discuss how to design private sessions, workshops, and retreats. Motivation techniques for your students will be discussed and will give you the tools to be a visionary for the greater good.
